Dailypeloton, 27 November 2011
Joaquím Olivier Rodríguez " El Purito" is a talented rider who seems to be at home at the classics as he is climbing in the Grand tours. Purito hails from Parets del Vallès near Barcelona on December 12, 1979 and signed his first pro contract with Spanish outfit, O.N.C.E-Eroski in 2001 at 22 years of age after riding as a stagiare for the team during the previous fall. He rode his first Giro that year finishing a credible 80th in his first grand tour.

Getting better and better
"Purito" claimed stage six of the Dauphiné with a solo attack five kilometers from the top of the Collet d’Allevard. One of the most explosive climbers in the peloton, time trialing remains his weak point, though he has improved it and is now aiming at winning the Tour of Spain.

"It has a special place in my heart"
Danilo Di Luca didn’t make the hat trick at the top of the Montevergine di Mercogliano where he won a stage of the Giro d’Italia on two occasions, but the Italian who returned to racing after a positive dope test two years ago knew that he is not back at the level he previously had.

Interview - Denis Galimzyanov
Denis Galimzyanov is a new name on the international sprint scene but just as difficult as his last name might seem to pronounce, just as fast is he on the final meters in mass sprint! I will even put him down as my personal outsider for the win on stage 3. Here is what the young Russian had to say

Totally Focused on the Spring Classics
Filippo Pozzato is having a more discreet ride at the Tour of Qatar than his future rivals in the Spring classics, such as Tom Boonen, Fabian Cancellara and Heinrich Haussler. He told cyclingtime that he is counting on specific work on the track to become better in March and April.
