Daniel Martin wins Japan Cup

It is clear that Daniel Martin is having a great autumn. The Irish Garmin rider confirmed again by finishing solo in the Japan Cup, a minute ahead of Aussie Peter McDonald (Drapac Porsche), who won the sprint from Yusuke Hatanaka (Shimano Racing) and a small chasing group with, amongst others, Luca Mazzanti and Johannes Fröhlinger.


Giro 2011 inhumanly difficult

After the official presentation of the 2011 Giro d'Italia in Turin, the conclusion is simple. The 150-year history of Italian unity is celebrated with a horribly difficult course. The sprinters only get four or five real chances for a sprint and most of them can be expected to already return home after stage 12.

That is the self-proclaimed title for the new Luxembourg based team by Brian Nygaard. In reality the cool team will be named "Leopard True Racing", in which the brothers Schleck, Daniele Bennati and Davide Vigano, amongst others, will play their part in 2011.


Challenging course Giro d'Italia 2011

With a start in Turin organizer RCS celebrates the 150-year unity of Italy. The 94th Giro d'Italia starts on May 7, 2011 with a team time trial of 21.5 km and then tours around Italy to its climax on May 29, staged in a final time trial in Milan over almost 33 km.



AA-Drink new sponsor for Leontien.nl in 2011

AA-Drink will be the new sponsor for Leontien.nl. Leontien van Moorsel-Zijlaard revealed the news herself in the Dutch talkshow of Pauw & Witteman. Delegations of the team can now be seen year round on the road, track and field.


CAS rules in favour of Vinokourov case

Alexandre Vinokourov was at the Tour de France 2007 caught blood doping. According to the rules, the rider was suspended for two years by the UCI. He was also fined an annual salary, at that time at a magnitude of 1.2 million Euros.
