Anne Samplonius (Cheerwine) had a great Nature Valley Grand Prix, 9th on the Final Stage, 3rd overall and helping Cheerwine to win the Final Team GC. With the CCA due to announce the riders selected for the Olympics, she answered my first question before I even had an opportunity to ask it.

Following the rainstorms on Wednesday's Stage 1 of the Nature Valley Grand Prix which forced a cancellation of the men’s race we caught up with some of the Canadian riders for pre and post race interviews on Stage 2. Gina Grain (Webcor Builders), crashed on the final circuit and finished 89th.

Riding with her head
Irina Kalentieva came originally from the little-known Russian province of Chuvash to conquer the world – the world of mountain biking. She won the World Championship title in cross country last year in Fort William, and will look to defend that title next week in Val di Sole, Italy.
