Last month Lucy Garner won the junior women's road race at the World Championships in Copenhagen. Garner, riding for the Motorpoint team, had a tremendous season with wins at the National Track Championships and the Junior Commonwealth Games as well.

Ryan wraps up season on a high
Despite a difficult start to the season, Garmin-Cervélo rider Carla Ryan finished 2011 on a high with a ride as co-captain of the Australian squad at last month’s UCI Road World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is anticipating the commencement of 2012.

20 year old Auckland rider Kate Chilcott raced this year for FCS Cycling team alongside fellow Kiwi, Courteney Lowe. She was based in Bartonville, Texas, and had the opportunity to ride most of the top US Women's races, taking a pile of Top 10 finishes.
