Raisin Hope's 4th annual charity auction
Posted by: DZI (15 Noviembre 2010 14:43)
Former Pro-cyclist Saul Raisin is organising a charity fundraiser for victims of brain injuries. All the proceeds of the event will go towards brain-research, the main goal for the Raisin Hope Foundation.
"I am proud to announce the 4th Annual Raisin Hope Auction. This year we have some one of a kind cycling memorabilia including Thor Hushovd's signed green jersey from the Tour de France 2009" Saul says on his website. On the other hand, a signed Eddy Merckx poster is a pretty nifty got-to-get-that-item as well, as he was only the best cyclist ever! The E-bay auction will be between 21st and 28th of november, so make sure you get your bid in!The chosen charity is of course a logical one as Saul Raisin himself fell victim to brain injury in the first stage of the Circuit de la Sarthe 2006. Doctors feared for his life as a result of massive brain trauma, and even if he would awaken from his coma, not much was expected in regard to recovery.
By now, after founding the Raisin Hope charity fund, Saul Raisin has run both the New York and Georgia marathons and rode the Tour of California out of competition. He is still working on his recovery besides spending a lot of time on victims of brain injuries.
So join in and get your bid in for charity! Click the link for Saul's website.
