Towards the end of stage 13, two riders nodded at each other: ideal conditions were presented to the Saxo-Tinkoff team and Mick Rogers and Daniele Bennati realised the time was right to create some havoc. When the Australian was on the massage table a few hours after the stage, we spoke to him to get a first-hand perspective of what happened on the road to Saint-Amand-Montrond on the second Friday of the 100th Tour de France.
