La storia di Cesare Benedetti è tra le più belle che il ciclismo ci ha riservato nel finale di stagione. Il corridore trentino aveva saputo il 20 agosto che la Bora - Argon18 non gli avrebbe ritrovato il contratto per il 2016 e, di conseguenza, si è trovato a gareggiare accompagnato dall'incertezza per il futuro
