Garmin-Sharp's Tyler Farrar heads to Italy this week for his first big stage race of the season: Tirreno-Adriatico. There, the American will face his showdown of the season with the likes of Peter Sagan, Mark Cavendish, and Andre Greipel all at once. James Startt, Bicycling’s man in Europe, had a chance to sit down with Farrar recently to talk about his challenging 2012 season, in which he faced disappointment in the one-day Classics and dealt with injuries and bad luck. He’s looking forward to 2013 with a renewed focus and a positive attitude.
