Isidro Nozal (1 m 81 pour 70 kg) a débuté sa carrière en 99 chez ONCE. En 2003, l’Espagnol, qui a aujourd’hui 27 ans, se révèle auprès du grand public en terminant 2e de la Vuelta après avoir perdu son maillot de leader lors du dernier chrono au profit de Roberto Heras qui deviendra l’année suivante son chef de file. L’année dernière, il termine 7e de la Vuelta, tout en étant d’une aide précise pour le même Roberto Heras.
