John Degenkolb a talented young sprinter just turned 23 on January 7th, born in Gera, Germany he makes his residence in Erfurt; and has signed to ride with Iwan Spekenbrink's 1T4i team in 2012 - after his HTC-Highroad team went defunct.
Degenkolb is a talented track and road cyclist who excels in field sprints; he was a four time national track champion and Junior ITT champion in 2006; and collected 11 victories in his final year in the youngest of the young gun ranks.
