Despite winning the 89.3 Km stage from Gien to Checy in the Route de France and placing fourth at this year's world championships in Salzburg, Dorte Lohse Rasmussen was still "very disappointed with 2006". The 35 year old danish rider will be riding for Menikini Gysko (previously Nobili Rubinetterie) in 2007.

The women’s Bianchi-Kookaï team is about to open officially its racing season on Saturday, 11 March, in Pietrasanta. Team manager Stefano Della Santa will be counting on Rasmussen, who has already won a national championship title and is in the first fifteen places in the world rankings, to perform well in the coming season.
