On a summer's day in July last year the world stopped turning for Louise Yaxley and Alexis Rhodes. On that afternoon they were part of the six-member Australian Institute of Sport's women's cycling team enjoying a training ride in the German countryside when an out of control car ploughed into them, killing teammate Amy Gillett, and leaving the rest with terrible injuries.
