Anne Samplonius (Cheerwine) had a great Nature Valley Grand Prix, 9th on the Final Stage, 3rd overall and helping Cheerwine to win the Final Team GC. With the CCA due to announce the riders selected for the Olympics, she answered my first question before I even had an opportunity to ask it.

Friday was a double-stage day at the Nature Valley Grand Prix with the Stage 3 ITT in the morning and the Stage 4 criterium later that day. We caught up with some of the Canadian riders at both stages for some post race interviews. Anne Samplonius - 2nd & 44th on stages, goes 3rd in GC.

Canadian ITT champion Ann Samplonius today brought Canada it’s second gold medal in as many day at the 2007 Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At 39, Samplonius is a veteran rider, and 2007 is turning out to be one of the best seasons of her career.
