Rumours that the Velocio-SRAM team would disband at the end of the year were confirmed on Monday, when Team owner Kristy Scrymgeour announced that Velocio Sports, Scrymgeour’s management company, would cease operation of the team and Scrymgeour would be moving on.

Kristy Scrymgeour is a former cyclist, journalist, PR manager for HTC-Highroad, and now the owner and manager of the Specialized-lululemon team, who have just won two rounds of the women's Road World Cup, the Crescent Vårgårda Team Time Trial and Road Race, with Chantal Blaak.
