When I go to meet Marianne Vos in the small Dutch town of ‘S Gravensmoer, the villages seem to become smaller and smaller the closer I get. The roads are narrow, tractors are interspersed with traffic and I pass one city limit sign after another.
A town sign greets me to De Moer and a couple of roundabouts later, the same sign is posted with a red line through it. In that fashion I pass

Marianne Vos heeft schitteren op de Olympische Spelen van Rio als groot doel voor 2016, maar het is niet haar belangrijkste objectief: de olympisch kampioene van 2012 (Londen) wil vooral weer fit worden en kunnen koersen. "Dat heeft de absolute prioriteit. Ik wil niets doen wat mijn herstel kan vertragen. Dus ook een deadline voor de Olympische Spelen mag me niet te snel op de fiets jagen."

The most successful rider at the Road Cycling World Championships in modern times has to be Marianne Vos, who started her Worlds with a win in the Juniors, and went on to win three elite gold medals and five silvers, not to mention her two Olympic golds on road and track, her two golds from Track World Champs, and her seven Cyclocross golds – and she’s still only 28!

Marianne Vos ha conquistato il suo terzo Giro d’Italia. Terza nell’ultima tappa, la Trezzo sull’Adda-Ghisallo, ha rafforzato la maglia rosa, si è impadronita anche di quella ciclamino per la classifica a punti e ha contribuito al successo della Rabo Liv nella classifica a squadre. Insomma: prima, sempre prima, fortissimamente prima.
Si una mujer se dedica al ciclismo es porque está realmente fascinada por este deporte y lo ama de corazón.

Nos desplazamos hasta la carrera de ciclocross de la serie Soudal Classics en Leuven, Bélgica, y tuvimos la oportunidad de entrevistar a la gran estrella del ciclismo femenino, Marianne Vos (Rabobank-Liv/Giant). La corredora neerlandesa destaca por ser una competidora de primer nivel tanto en ciclocross como en carretera, contando en su haber con títulos mundiales en ambas disciplinas y siendo la vigente campeona olímpica. Tras una victoria más para la ciclista de Meeuwen, compartimos algunos minutos de charla con Marianne Vos y su eterna sonrisa para hablar de esta temporada de ciclocross y la inminente temporada de carretera.

Marianne Vos non ha bisogno di presentazioni, è la ciclista più forte al Mondo, maschietti inclusi. Soli ventiquattro anni e nessuno come lei. Una cannibale che ha vinto tutto o quasi, che da inizio anno ha riposato solo un paio di settimane a Maggio, che potrebbe tirare il fiato.

Double championne du monde de cyclo-cross, dont l'an dernier, elle défendra son titre dans quelques jours à Tabor, en République Tchèque. Coté route, Vos domine depuis 3 ans en s'adjugeant à chaque fois le classement UCI. Cependant, son seul titre de championne du monde remonte à 2006. Elle avait seulement 19 ans.

En juillet, cyclismag.com a rencontré Marianne Vos qui collectionne à 22 ans, les maillots de championne du monde et les classiques. Depuis cet entretien, la Hollandaise est devenue vice-championne du monde sur route, a remporté la coupe du monde et a enlevé le championnat d'Europe de cyclo-cross.

Da molti tecnici è considerata, non a torto, come il più grande talento del ciclismo attuale: basti pensare che in appena tre stagioni nella massima categoria ha vinto, solo su strada (eh sì, perché pratica con successo anche pista e ciclocross), la bellezza di 55 corse.
