When Nikki Brammeier rolls out to contest the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships on Saturday, she will do so as a proud member of Team GB, even if regulations dictate that her cherished national champion’s jersey – a title she has won on three occasions, most recently in Bradford earlier this month – will have to remain at home.

British cyclo-cross champion Nikki Harris (Young Telenet-Fidea) will tackle the infamous sands of Koksijde this weekend, hoping to continue her impressive start to the season and better the second place she achieved last year.

Nikki Harris was a very successful track rider who turned to Cyclo-cross and has based herself in the hot bed of cross, yea, Belgium. She recently took the Silver medal in the GB Elite Women’s Cyclo-cross and 15th this weekend at Worlds in St. Wendel.

At 22 years old Nikki Harris could be said to be an old-hand at cycling, having started turning the pedals competitively when she was just 10, back then her goals were a simple - chocolate treat! Since then Nikki has come a long way......
